Ottuki
Games

(oh-TOH-kee)

Not a game that demands your best. One that meets your worst, and gives you something good anyway.

It started on a bad night. The developer was doubled over with a stomach ache so bad that even holding a spoon felt like effort, and all he wanted was something warm and forgiving to eat.

He grabbed the first thing he could reach: a cup of porridge, Ottugi brand. His fingers had nothing left in them, but the lid gave way on the first try, no fighting, no prying, just open. Every other brand he'd tried before had made him work for it. This one didn't.

That small, unremarkable kindness stuck with him longer than it should have. Someone, somewhere, had designed for the exact moment he was in: weak, tired, and not expecting anything to go easy.

He kept coming back to that thought while building his games. Maybe the goal wasn't to reward players for being sharp or strong. Maybe it was to meet them exactly where they were, tired fingers and all, and still hand them something good.

So the name stayed: Ottuki. Not a game that asks for your best, but one that meets you at your worst, and hands you something good anyway.
